We are overjoyed to share the incredible success of our second Charity Clay Day, where, with the help of Yorkshire’s generous business community, we raised an outstanding £88,797 for Leeds Children’s Hospital.
Thanks to your support, these funds will directly purchase two Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy units for the hospital. PBM is a pioneering red light therapy that reduces the pain and severity of mucositis – a common and deeply painful side effect of cancer treatment in children.
This means:
- Fewer children in pain
- Fewer nights spent in hospital
- More strength to keep fighting
A Day to Remember
Set against the stunning backdrop of Rievaulx Abbey, the event brought together a community united by a shared purpose. Guests took part in a thrilling clay shooting competition, generously contributed to our auction, and enjoyed a day full of energy, heart, and hope.
To everyone who participated, donated, and championed our cause – thank you. Your involvement has made a real and immediate difference in the lives of young patients.
Our Promise at Luma Foundation
At the Luma Foundation, we made a commitment: we spend what we raise.
Every single pound goes towards specialist medical equipment that is not available through standard NHS funding. Why? Because we believe every child deserves the best care possible – no compromises.
